Vivekananda in Raja Yoga is divided into eight stages, grades and stretches of the trail should be as follows:
1) Yama.
2) Niyama.
3) Asana.
4) Pranayama.
5) Pratyâhâra.
6) Dhârâna.
7) Dhyana.
8) Samadhi.
Yama is not kill or steal or lie or not to receive gifts and fornicate. Niyama equals purity, contentment, honesty, study and complete surrender to God. Asana is the posture or position that has placed the retreatant. Pranayama is the government regulation or encouragement. Pratyâhâra is disengaged from the senses of the objects of sensation. Dhâranâ to set the mind in a certain order. Dhyana, meditation equals. Samadhi is the state of ecstasy or superconciencia. Yama and Niyama are moral disciplines without whose fluency is useless and even delivered to the harmful practices of Raja Yoga.
